Terms of Service

Verra Links is owned and operated by SME Digital, trading as Verra Links. You are contracting with SME Digital for use of the service. You can reach us at info@smedigital.biz. By using the service you confirm that you are of legal age, and where you use it on behalf of an organisation, that you have authority to bind that organisation.

Verra Links lets anyone create a short link that redirects to a destination URL and view basic click statistics for that link. The free plan requires no payment. Verra Links Pro is a paid subscription that adds custom domains, editable destinations, advanced analytics and branded QR codes. The service is provided "as is" and "as available", and we may change, limit or discontinue any part of it at any time.

You are solely responsible for the destination you link to and for how you distribute your short links. You confirm that you have the right to link to the destination and that doing so does not break any law or third-party right. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for activity under your account.

SME Digital retains all ownership of Verra Links, including its software, design, documentation and branding. Subject to these terms and your plan, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service. You must not reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the service, or circumvent its technical limits.

You must not use Verra Links for, or to link to, any of the following:

• Phishing or credential harvesting of any kind.
• Malware, ransomware, spyware, exploit kits or other harmful code or downloads.
• Fraud, including financial fraud, fake stores, investment or crypto scams.
• Scams, deceptive giveaways, or other content designed to mislead people into parting with money or data.
• Spam, including unsolicited bulk email, messaging, comment or social-media distribution of short links.
• Illegal content, including child sexual abuse material, content that facilitates violence or terrorism, illegal drugs or weapons sales, and content unlawful in the recipient's jurisdiction.
• Impersonation of any person, brand, business or government body, including Verra Links itself.
• Deceptive redirects, cloaking, redirect chains, or destinations that differ from what the link's context represents.
• Copyright or trademark infringement, including links to pirated or otherwise infringing material.
• Abusive automated activity, including bots, scripted mass link creation, scraping, artificial click inflation, or attempts to bypass our rate limits or bot protection.

Our Acceptable Use Policy gives a plain-language summary of what is and is not allowed.

Verra Links reserves the right, at its sole discretion and without notice, to flag, suspend, block or permanently remove any short link that violates these terms or that we reasonably believe is harmful, as well as to rate-limit or block abusive traffic and to report unlawful activity to the relevant authorities. Suspended and blocked links stop redirecting and instead show a safe notice page with an option to report an issue.

If you believe a link was disabled in error, tell us through the report form and we will review it.

We aim to keep short links working, but we do not guarantee uptime, uninterrupted redirection or permanent retention of any link or its statistics. Do not use Verra Links where link failure would cause loss.

Our Privacy Policy explains what data we process. Short links and their statistics are accessible to anyone who knows the short code, so do not shorten confidential URLs.

Destination content is not ours and is not endorsed or verified by us; our safety screening reduces but does not eliminate risk. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Verra Links disclaims all warranties and is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the service or from any destination reached through a short link.

Verra Links Pro is offered on a monthly ($9 per month) or annual ($99 per year) subscription. Prices are shown on our Pro page and are exclusive of any sales tax or VAT, which is calculated and added at checkout based on your location. Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price for the same period until cancelled, and you authorise the recurring charge at checkout.

Merchant of Record. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, invoicing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are therefore governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms.

You may cancel at any time from your account or the Paddle customer portal; cancellation stops future renewals and Pro access continues until the end of the paid period. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy, which includes a 30-day money-back guarantee. We may suspend or terminate access for non-payment, material breach of these terms, or security and fraud risk.
